Terms of use

The terms you buy and use RecordLah! under.

Plain versions of the usual things: what you are buying, what you may do with it, what we promise, and what we do not.

Last updated 19 September 2026.

1. Who you are dealing with

RecordLah! is sold by TO BE CONFIRMED, of TO BE CONFIRMED. “We” and “us” mean that company; “you” means the person or organisation buying or using the software. Using RecordLah! means you accept these terms.

2. What you are buying

A perpetual, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use RecordLah! on the number of Macs your licence covers — one, unless you bought more. It does not expire. There is no subscription and no renewal.

You may move the licence between Macs: release the old Mac first, which frees the seat. Your licence key is personal to you. Publishing it, sharing it or selling it is the one thing that will get it revoked.

3. The free trial

3 recordings free — the whole app, not a reduced version. The count is kept against the Mac rather than against an account, so reinstalling does not start it over. When the trial is used up the app keeps working, but new recordings need a licence.

4. Price, tax and refunds

The price is US$49.90, once, in US dollars. Any sales tax, VAT or GST that applies where you are is shown before you pay and added at checkout.

If RecordLah! does not do what you needed, write to us within 14 days of buying it and we will refund you in full. No reason required. Refunding revokes the licence key.

5. Recording is your responsibility

This is the part worth reading twice. RecordLah! records meetings you point it at. Whether you may lawfully record a meeting is your decision and your responsibility, not ours. The law differs by country and by state: some places require every participant to consent, some require only one, and many employers and institutions have their own rules on top.

You agree that you will get whatever consent is required, follow the law where you and the other participants are, and comply with the terms of the meeting platform you are recording. You are responsible for the recordings you make and for what you do with them afterwards.

6. What you may not do

7. Other people’s services

RecordLah! works with services we do not control: Zoom, Stripe for payment, Google’s Gemini API if you switch on AI notes, and ntfy or Telegram if you set up alerts. Your use of each is governed by their terms, and we are not responsible for them changing or going away.

RecordLah! is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Zoom Communications, Inc. “Zoom” is their trademark and is used here only to say what this software works with.

8. Updates and support

Updates are included for as long as we publish them, at no extra cost. We do not promise a particular update, a particular feature, or support for a version of macOS beyond what the app currently states. Support is by email at support@recordlah.com.

9. What we do not promise

The software is provided as it is. Meetings are unpredictable: a host can cancel, a platform can change overnight, a Mac can go to sleep, a network can drop. We do not warrant that every scheduled recording will succeed, and you should not rely on RecordLah! as the only record of something you cannot afford to lose.

To the fullest extent the law allows, we exclude implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

10. Limits on liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability to you for anything connected with RecordLah! is limited to what you paid for it. We are not liable for lost recordings, lost profits, lost data, or any indirect or consequential loss.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited — including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. If you are a consumer, you keep every right your local consumer law gives you, and nothing in these terms takes those away.

11. Ending it

You may stop using RecordLah! at any time. We may revoke a licence that was obtained fraudulently, charged back, refunded, or shared publicly. If we revoke a licence for any other reason, we will refund it.

12. Changes

We may change these terms for future purchases. The terms you bought under are the ones on this page on the day you bought, and the date at the top tells you which version that was.

13. Which law applies

These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, and the courts of Singapore have non-exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
